  • Experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Big Box Retail or retail construction experience highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contracts, cost control, and project administration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and project plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, owners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, safety, schedule, and financial performance.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain consistent communication with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, purchase orders, and closeout documentation.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Track project costs, commitments, changes, and overall financial performance.
  • Support preconstruction activities, estimating, bidding, subcontractor procurement, and project turnover.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Big Box Retail experience is highly preferred, particularly candidates with experience managing large-scale retail projects in an active field environment.
