Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is partnering with an established structural steel fabricator in the Midwest to recruit a Project Manager. You will own projects from contract award through fabrication, erection and completion, managing schedule, budget and coordination with GC teams, erectors and shop personnel.

The role involves reviewing drawings and contracts, handling RFIs and submittals, coordinating fabrication and delivery schedules, managing change orders and budgets, and visiting local jobsites

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of construction or engineering experience.
• Structural steel experience is essential.
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Ownership and cross-team communication across shop, field and GC teams.

We’re partnering with an established structural steel fabricator that has spent more than 20 years helping deliver major hospitals, office buildings, schools, retail developments and industrial facilities across the Midwest.

With a healthy pipeline of secured work and continued growth ahead, they’re now looking to add a Project Manager to their operations team.

You’ll take structural steel projects from contract award through fabrication, erection and completion, owning the schedule, budget and coordination along the way.

Day to day, you’ll work closely with GCs, erectors, detailers and shop teams; review drawings and contracts; manage RFIs and submittals; coordinate fabrication and delivery schedules; handle change orders and budgets; and visit local jobsites approximately once a week.

What we're looking for

• 3–10 years of construction or engineering experience
• Structural steel experience is essential
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Someone comfortable taking ownership and communicating across the shop, field and GC teams
