Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to define scope, objectives, and schedules with business and IT leaders in a Houston environment. You will lead IT and cross‑functional projects end to end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and within scope, while applying PMO standards and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience, PMP/PRINCE2 preferred, and familiarity with ERP deployments (SAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience, including leading IT and/or cross‑functional projects end to end.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong command of Waterfall and/or Agile project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience managing project budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
• Experience delivering ERP (SAP preferred) or enterprise application projects (preferred).
• Experience in chemical distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain / distribution (preferred).
• Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and IT governance frameworks (preferred).
• Experience standing up or maturing a PMO function (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource plans with business and IT stakeholders.
• Lead projects through the full lifecycle, managing day‑to‑day execution, dependencies, and milestones.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and on scope.
• Apply PMO standards, methodologies, and tooling.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reporting to leadership.
• Identify, track, mitigate, escalate and resolve issues.
• Manage project budgets, track spend, and coordinate internal and external vendor/contractor resources.
• Engage and align business sponsors, IT teams, and third parties.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communications throughout delivery.
• Coordinate with the Change Advisory Board and delivery teams for controlled, low‑disruption implementation.
• Contribute to maturing PMO practices, templates, and standards.
