Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing renewable natural gas (RNG) development company. The Project Manager will lead RNG projects from development through commissioning and startup, with responsibility for engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, schedule, budget, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and commercial judgment with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and successfully execute complex industrial infrastructure projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage RNG projects through development, engineering, permitting, construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Maintain responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, and overall execution.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Provide project reporting and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings and drive accountability for key deliverables.
- Identify project optimization opportunities, cost reductions, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Negotiate utility agreements and evaluate interconnection, pipeline, and gas quality requirements.
- Develop project execution and permitting plans; ensure compliance with permits, codes, and contracts.
- Prepare RFPs and manage the selection of contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Support the evaluation and selection of process technologies and major equipment suppliers.
- Manage equipment procurement activities and engineering deliverables.
- Participate in hazard reviews and support safe project design and execution.
- Develop and execute commissioning, startup, acceptance testing, and project closeout plans.
- Travel regularly to project sites and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10+ years of relevant project management experience. Candidates with more extensive experience are encouraged to apply; title and level may be adjusted based on qualifications.
- Proven experience delivering projects within landfill gas-to-energy, renewable natural gas (RNG), Landfill Gas, Bio-Gas, Gas Processing, pipeline, or related industrial sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams through both engineering and construction phases of complex capital projects.
- Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contracting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive project execution.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project locations.
Location: Houston, TX (Near I-10 & Hwy 6)
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: Monday – Friday; standard business hours. Regular travel to project sites is expected.
Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance incentives
