Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager in Helena, MT. The role involves full lifecycle management from preconstruction to turnover, coordinating with field leadership, clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving.

You will manage budgets, buyouts, change orders, and schedules while leading meetings and maintaining risk controls. Strong communication and leadership are essential for ground-up or large-scale commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of scheduling, estimating, cost control, buyout, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound project decisions.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
• Experience managing ground-up and/or large-scale commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through turnover
• Developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Managing subcontractor buyout, contracts, change orders, and pay applications
• Coordinating closely with Superintendents to maintain schedules and field productivity
• Leading owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings
• Managing RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
• Monitoring project risk and resolving issues before they impact cost or schedule
• Maintaining strong relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Supporting project closeout, punch list completion, and final turnover
• Providing leadership and mentorship to Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers

An award-winning Helena area commercial general contractor is looking to add a Project Manager to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the full life cycle of a project, working closely with field leadership, clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving from preconstruction through closeout.
