Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Greenville, SC

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 base + 15% bonus + vehicle allowance + ESOP

About the Company

A leading national General Contractor with annual revenues exceeding $2B is looking to add a Project Manager to their Upstate South Carolina division. The company has a strong presence across the region, delivering a range of commercial projects and currently seeing particularly strong activity across the healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Typical projects range from $15M–$30M, with the Upstate division having successfully completed projects valued at up to $180M.

This is a field-based Project Manager position, working from the construction trailer on active project sites throughout the Greenville / Upstate SC market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day project management responsibilities from the jobsite
• Act as a key point of contact for the owner throughout the construction process
• Manage project costs, budgets and financial performance
• Oversee project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project safety, quality and progress
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders
• Manage change orders, forecasting, project documentation and reporting
• Identify and manage project risks to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain strong relationships with owners and project stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or a related field
• Strong understanding of project costs, scheduling and safety
• Comfortable working in a field-based role from an active construction site
• Strong communication and owner-facing skills
