Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA is seeking a Project Engineer for a Spartanburg-based commercial General Contractor to support the delivery of mid-size projects. You will work with PMs, assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and coordination with subcontractors, architects and engineers on site.

This role offers a clear progression to Project Manager, with learning and training opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience as a Project Engineer/Assistant PM.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects.
• Motivated and seeking long-term career growth in PM.
• Eager to collaborate with office and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs with delivery of commercial construction projects valued at $3M+.

Location: Spartanburg, SC
Salary: $60,000–$80,000 base (DOE) + bonus

A mid-sized commercial General Contractor based in Spartanburg is looking to add a Project Engineer to their growing team. The company delivers a range of commercial projects across sectors including retail, office, high-end restaurants, breweries and schools, with a strong focus on adaptive reuse and core & shell developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with the delivery of commercial construction projects valued at $3M+
• Manage and track RFIs and submittals
• Assist with change orders and project documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers and project teams
• Support project scheduling, procurement and day-to-day project coordination
• Assist with project closeout and punch list documentation
• Work closely with both office and field teams throughout the construction process
