Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead department-level and enterprise-wide technology initiatives. You will own a portfolio from concept through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring on-time delivery within scope.

The role reports to the Director of the Project Management Organization within the IT & Transformation Office and requires strong change management, planning, and communication skills to bring

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience with minimum of 3+ years of project management delivering complex department-level and enterprise-scale projects.
  • Strong background in technology and IT projects (software implementations, infrastructure, digital transformation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, helping organizations adopt new tools, processes, or systems.
  • Solid skills in requirements definition and translating business needs into actionable project plans.
  • Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to details.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for enterprise-wide technology initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Support software selection processes, including guiding business leadership in the decision-making process.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Identify risks and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and documentation with business and technical teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and key decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams across multiple locations.
  • Travel for this position is up to 20% and will consist of overnight stays.

  • Solid skills in requirements definition and translating business needs into actionable project plans

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Project tracking software such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification
  • Background in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies
