Job summary

Allegiance Group is seeking a Project Manager – Mechanical (HVAC) to lead commercial HVAC construction projects from kickoff to closeout. You will guide project teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on every phase of the project.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC systems, contract administration, and client communications, with mentorship responsibilities for junior staff and interns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from contract award through final closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and financial performance.
• Review and interpret project contracts, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and other project requirements.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, billings, commitments, and change orders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, correspondence, and records.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate project engineers, superintendents, and field personnel to support successful project execution.
• Promote and support company quality standards and OSHA/safety requirements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and co-op/intern personnel.

Position: Project Manager – Mechanical (HVAC)

Department: Operations

Reports To: Division / Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of commercial mechanical construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within established budgets, and in accordance with applicable quality standards. The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or comparable construction management and accounting software.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership, communication, organization, financial management, contract administration, negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders.
