Job summary

This role emphasizes controlling budgets, schedules, change orders, and forecasting, with a strong focus on communication with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Project Management experience.
• Fort Myers/Southwest Florida market experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, contracts and project closeout knowledge.
• Experience with Procore or similar CM software is a plus.

We are partnering with an established Florida general contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join its Fort Myers team.

This role is ideal for a local construction professional with a track record of successfully delivering commercial projects throughout the Southwest Florida market.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout, maintaining accountability for overall project delivery.
• Own project budgets, schedules, cost controls, change orders, documentation, and forecasting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
• Manage subcontractor procurement/buyout, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Proactively identify and resolve schedule, budget, quality, and project risks while maintaining strong communication with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Project Management experience, ideally with a general contractor.
• Established experience working in the Fort Myers / Southwest Florida construction market, including completed local commercial projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, contracts, and project closeout.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software; Sage/Timberline experience is a plus.
