Allegiance Group in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and project team performance.

Reporting to the Director/Division Manager, you’ll own projects with responsibilities including client and architect liaison, risk management, procurement, and ensuring safety and quality standards on active sites.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Ground-up construction, interiors or renovations on industrial, retail, medical or office projects.
  • Experience with construction contracts, cost control and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling and delivery.
  • Manage Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors and consultants.
  • Act as the main contact for clients, architects, engineers and owners.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost forecasts, procurement and resource planning.
  • Manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders and closeout documentation.
  • Conduct site visits and progress meetings, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve project risks, delays and scope changes.
  • Mentor junior team members and drive accountability across the project team.

I’m partnering with an established commercial General Contractor looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to its St. Petersburg team.

With nearly 40 years in business and an established presence across the Southeast, this contractor delivers projects across light industrial, big-box retail, medical and office construction. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects, develop team members and build lasting client relationships.

Reporting to the Director / Division Manager, you’ll take ownership of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and project team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling and delivery.
  • Manage Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors and consultants.
  • Act as the main contact for clients, architects, engineers and owners.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost forecasts, procurement and resource planning.
  • Manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders and closeout documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10+ years of commercial construction project management experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • A strong track record delivering ground-up construction, interiors or renovations across industrial, retail, medical or office projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, cost control and scheduling.
  • Experience with platforms such as Procore, ProjectSight, Microsoft Project or Bluebeam.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or substantial relevant field/trade experience.
  • OSHA 30 preferred; PMP or similar qualifications advantageous.
  • Ability to visit active project sites regularly, with a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
