Job summary

FOKIS Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, piping) from pre-construction through completion. You will coordinate teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and 5+ years of PM experience in mechanical contracting, with proficiency in Procore or Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
• Proven success managing commercial, industrial, or institutional mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, specifications, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project execution from initial planning through closeout.
• Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Manage schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation.
• Manage equipment procurement, ensuring lead times do not impact schedule.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and field teams to ensure accurate scope and execution.
• Track project costs and forecast financial performance.
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays proactively.

• Provensuccessmanagingcommercial,industrial,orinstitutionalmechanicalprojects
• Strongknowledgeofmechanicalsystems,drawings,specifications,andcodes
• Proficiencyinconstructionmanagementsoftware(e.g.,Procore,Bluebeam,MSExcelandProject,orequivalent)
• Excellentleadership,communication,andorganizationalskills
• Abilitytomanagemultipleprojectsandprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment
• OSHA30certification(preferred)
• PMPcertification(aplusbutnotrequired)
