Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. partners with an established, AISC-certified structural steel fabricator to recruit a Remote Structural Steel Project Manager.

This role oversees large-scale projects valued around $10M, from detailing to closeout, with full remote flexibility and travel as required. Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years in structural steel fabrication or PM, a solid grasp of fabrication processes, and strong budgeting/scheduling discipline.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of structural steel fabrication or steel PM experience.
• Strong understanding of the structural steel fabrication process.
• Experience managing large, complex structural steel projects around $10M.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Experience coordinating fabrication, detailing, and erection activities.
• Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, and change orders.
• Confident communication and ability to manage projects independently.
• Willingness to travel for on-site involvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel fabrication projects from detailing through fabrication, delivery, erection, and closeout.
• Own project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery.
• Work closely with detailing teams, fabrication shops, general contractors, and erectors.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, materials, and production schedules.
• Manage change orders, project costs, and client expectations.
• Resolve project challenges and keep work on schedule.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners.
• Travel to project sites or meetings when hands-on involvement is needed.

Are you an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager looking for the flexibility of remote working without sacrificing exciting projects or long-term career progression?

We're partnering with an established, AISC-certified structural steel fabricator that's looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing team.

This is an opportunity to manage large-scale structural steel projects, including packages valued around $10M, while working remotely and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing structural steel fabrication projects from initial detailing through fabrication, delivery, erection, and closeout.

• Taking ownership of project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery.

• Working closely with detailing teams, fabrication shops, general contractors, and erectors.

• Coordinating RFIs, submittals, materials, and production schedules.

• Managing change orders, project costs, and client expectations.

• Resolving project challenges and keeping work moving on schedule.

• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.

• Traveling to project sites or attending meetings when hands‑on involvement is needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5-10+ years of structural steel fabrication or steel project management experience.

• Strong understanding of the structural steel fabrication process.

• Experience managing large, complex structural steel projects, ideally around $10M in value.

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Experience coordinating fabrication, detailing, and erection activities.

• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and change orders.

• Confident communication and the ability to manage projects independently.

• Willingness to travel when projects require on-site attention.

Coming from a large structural steel fabricator with around five years of solid project management experience? We'd still be interested in speaking with you.

You don't necessarily need a Senior Project Manager title. What matters most is your structural steel knowledge, project experience, and ability to deliver.
