Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Manager specializing in structural steel and miscellaneous metals. You will own projects from detailing through erection and closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in structural steel, with experience in fabrication, detailing, erection and coordinating shop drawings, schedules, and RFIs. Travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Structural steel experience? Ready to take ownership of bigger projects?

I'm working on an opportunity for a growing steel fabrication and erection business looking for a Project Manager who understands the realities of delivering structural steel projects from detailing and fabrication through to erection and closeout.

This isn't a general construction PM role. The ideal candidate will understand steel packages, shop drawings, fabrication schedules and the coordination required to get steel onto site and erected efficiently.

The business delivers structural steel and miscellaneous metals packages across:

• Commercial and industrial buildings
• Institutional projects
• Public infrastructure
• Bridge projects

Project values typically range from $3M-$10M, with opportunities to work on larger projects valued up to $40M.

You'll manage projects from turnover through to final closeout, taking ownership of:

• Project budgets, financial reporting and cost control
• Project schedules, milestones and progress tracking
• RFIs, change orders and subcontractor coordination
• Shop drawings, detailing and engineering coordination
• Fabrication progress and delivery schedules
• Erection activities and coordination with field teams
• Client communication, project meetings and site visits
• Managing multiple projects and keeping delivery on track

You'll work closely with internal engineering, detailing, fabrication and erection teams, giving you visibility across the full steel project lifecycle.

I'm particularly interested in speaking with people who have:

• 3-7+ years of experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals
• Project management experience with a steel fabricator, steel erector or structural steel contractor
• An understanding of fabrication, detailing and erection processes
• Experience managing project financials, schedules and change orders
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
• The ability to coordinate customers, engineers, shop teams and field personnel
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel when required

Experience with steel erection is particularly valuable.

A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred, but relevant structural steel experience is the priority.
