Cookevillle Putnam-County Chamber of Commerce seeks a construction project manager to lead procurement, contracting, scheduling, and cost control for complex, multi‑phase projects.

Qualifications

  • Skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder communication.

  • Oversee project documentation including subcontracts, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related records.
  • Allocate resources and mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide updates on schedule, design intent, material selections, and requested changes.
  • Review progress with Field Manager to maintain codes, deliveries, and budgets.
  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare client invoices to ensure sufficient project cash flow by analyzing subcontractor invoices, construction progress, and projected costs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with (or ability to quickly learn) construction-specific software such as ProCore, Primavera SureTrak, and Viewpoint.
  • Ability to read building plans and understand overall construction processes to drive projects to successful completion while collaborating with clients, field managers, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Strong time management skills to maintain budgets, schedule meetings, process invoices, manage documentation, and keep communication open
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and adapt in fast-paced, changing environments across multiple projects.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, with the ability to diffuse issues and communicate effective with all stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and media challenges with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
