Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in Columbus. You will work closely with field leaders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of experience with ground-up projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction software is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Procore, and other CM software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Participate in preconstruction efforts including estimating, budgeting, subcontractor solicitation, and scope reviews.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiations, buyouts, and contract administration.
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and reporting.
  • Lead project teams and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final completion.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and project reporting
  • Lead project teams while mentoring and developing Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
  • Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final completion effort
