The Senior Project Manager responsibilities shown below reflect the requirements and expectations for project leadership within the Health Sciences | Government Resource Center (GRC) context. The role includes coordinating research and administrative efforts, managing relationships with sponsors and external partners, drafting technical reports and stakeholder communications, and contributing to quality improvement and health policy projects, including grant and proposal writing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage various GRC quality improvement projects; coordinate research and administrative efforts of project team members.
  • Manage relationships with project sponsors and external partners; draft technical reports and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on quality improvement and/or health policy projects.
  • Project development, including grant and proposal writing.
  • Project-related research and technical assistance, including literature reviews, drafting and formatting change packages and key driver diagrams.
  • Basic data analysis as project needs require, including Excel, creation of charts and graphs, and constructing process metrics.
Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant experience with a master’s degree is required.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Additional Desired Qualifications

Training and/or experience in quality improvement science included but not limited to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series Model, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or Lean Tools is preferred.
