Churchill is seeking a Design Project Manager to support hyper-scale data center design and construction projects for a Fortune 100 technology client. Embedded within the client's project management team, this Design Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for project delivery, directing design execution, contract administration, and cross-functional team coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of project management experience in construction, data centers, or mission-critical infra.
• Proven ability to manage complex design and contractual processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for client leadership, project delivery, and reporting on health, schedule, and budgets.
• Facilitate kickoff, design review, and technical alignment workshops with internal and external partners.
• Build optimal design teams and coordinate activities with procurement and construction to ensure seamless execution.
• Develop and maintain governance tools: baselines, schedules, risk logs, decision trackers, and change control logs.
• Draft, execute, and administer engineering and design contracts, managing scope changes.
• Oversee construction administration services, publish progress reports and meeting minutes, and manage as-built updates.

About the Role

Embedded within the client's project management team, this Design Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for project delivery, directing design execution, contract administration, and cross‑functional team coordination. This role demands a blend of technical capability, leadership, contract management, and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact interfacing with client leadership, managing project teams, and reporting on project health, schedule, and budgets.
• Facilitate kickoff, design review, and technical alignment workshops with cross‑functional internal groups and external partners.
• Build optimal design teams and coordinate design activities closely with procurement and construction phases to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver key project governance tools, including baseline scopes, schedules, risk logs, decision trackers, constructability reviews, and change control logs.
• Draft, execute, and administer engineering and design contracts, managing scope amendments and contract change control processes.
• Oversee construction administration services, publish progress reports and meeting minutes, manage third‑party as‑built design model updates, and maintain the building configuration tracking system through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related commercial or technical field.
• 5–10+ years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on data centers, mission‑critical infrastructure, or similar.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in design execution, scope drafting, change management, cost/schedule controls, and risk management.
• Direct experience issuing, administering, and managing complex design, engineering, and architectural contracts.
• Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with a track record of driving consensus across multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups.
