- Manage or assist with management of all phases of project planning and execution
- Ensure project scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration success factors are met
- Manage a portfolio of low- to moderate-risk projects in the Carolina West – Central Area region
- Create, staff, and lead project teams
- Provide leadership, oversight, delegation, and coordination with internal and external project organizations
- Guide matrixed team members and interface with functional leaders on placement, development, and conflict resolution
- Establish and maintain communications among project and program stakeholders
- Structure, lead, or assist with project-related meetings
- Prepare and communicate monthly project status, kickoff meetings, and weekly/monthly communications
- Develop and communicate project plans and reporting in accordance with PMCoE standards and business-unit procedures
- Plan project scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality aspects
- Lead project planning, estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement and contracting strategies, equipment and vendor selection, commissioning, operations turnover, warranty management, and integration
- Execute projects within approved scope, cost, and schedule constraints
- Manage project objectives, stakeholders, deliverables, WBS, budgets, risks, quality, safety, environmental, security, communications, change management, and closeout
Requirements
- Associate's Degree and 2 years minimum required related experience
- In lieu of degree: High School / GED and 5 years minimum required related experience
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Reliable, consistent transportation
- Ability to live within a reasonable commute, not greater than 50 miles one way, to the designated Duke Energy facility
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: Certified Associate of Project Management
- Preferred: Professional Engineer
- Preferred: Configuration Management II Professional (CM2-P)
- Preferred: Project Management Professional
- Preferred: Utility Technical Certifications or Training
