Role Description

The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas, responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day, this role manages project schedules, budgets, and resources; coordinates with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers; and ensures that work complies with contract documents, safety standards, and quality expectations. The Project Manager prepares and reviews project plans, tracks progress, resolves issues, and leads regular site and coordination meetings. This role also manages procurement and expediting of materials, monitors inspections and permitting, and maintains accurate documentation and reporting. The Project Manager supports a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment that keeps projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management (Project Management).
• Experience coordinating material orders, vendor communication, and schedule-driven deliveries (Expeditor, Expediting).
• Ability to oversee and coordinate inspections, ensure compliance with codes, and manage punch lists (Inspection).
• Knowledge of logistics principles for managing job-site deliveries, inventory, and equipment movement (Logistics Management).
• Several years of construction project management experience, preferably in commercial or institutional projects.
• Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project or similar), and basic MS Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices; OSHA awareness or certification is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience independently managing projects in the $1M-$20M range.
• Ability to work on-site daily in Buffalo, NY and visit active job sites as needed.
