Job summary

Byggmeister Inc., a worker-owned design-build remodeling firm in the Boston area, seeks an experienced residential carpenter to supervise and work with our field crew on high-quality renovations.

You will coordinate project plans, oversee schedules and budgets, ensure safety and craftsmanship, and communicate with clients to meet expectations. The role blends hands-on carpentry with project leadership in a collaborative, equity-focused environment.

Our Ideal Candidate

• You are a highly skilled manager, who is excited about sustainable, high-performance building, and shares our commitment to building a more equitable and just industry.
• Have 3+ years of experience in a fast-moving, detail-heavy project or program management role; experience in residential remodeling, design, or an adjacent industry is preferred but not required
• Have strong organizational discipline and can manage multiple concurrent schedules, budgets, and workstreams with minimal oversight
• Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating directly with clients
• Are deeply comfortable with technology and information systems, and pick up new software and tools quickly
• Bring strong interpersonal skills including the ability to hold teammates accountable to deadlines and commitments
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Bring positive energy, take on all tasks with enthusiasm, and work well with a wide range of people
• Take a proactive approach to problems, identifying and solving them before they risk projects and relationships
