EnviroVantage, Inc. in Portland, ME is seeking a Project Manager to lead environmental remediation and construction projects from award to closeout.

You will own objectives, milestones, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with foremen, subcontractors, and clients to deliver on time and within scope. The role requires at least 5 years as a PM in relevant fields, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain federal clearance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager in construction or environmental remediation.
  • Experience managing federal government contracts preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; able to pass a federal background screen.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a project upon award and see through to completion.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, budgets, and schedules.
  • Procure supplies and materials to complete a project buy-out.
  • Oversee Foremen/Superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities on site.
  • Monitor production and costs to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Review daily manpower and progress reports for each job.
  • Maintain a 3-week look ahead for all projects.
  • Interact with the customer regularly and lead negotiations on scope issues.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors and manage change orders.
  • Ensure project closeout package is completed and ready for billing.

EnviroVantage is looking for Project Managers in the Portland, ME area.

Essential Functions
  • Take ownership of a project upon award and see through to completion
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, budgets, and project schedules
  • Procure supplies and materials to complete a project buy-out
  • Oversee and provide guidance to Foremen/Superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities related to schedule, labor, equipment, materials and disposal on their jobs
  • Monitor production and project costs to ensure each job is completed on schedule
  • Review and sign off on daily manpower and progress reports for their jobs
  • Continually update a 3-week look ahead for all projects
  • Interact with the customer on a regular basis and be the lead on negotiation for any scope discrepancy or issues on the job site
  • Proactively develop relationships with subcontractors
  • Oversee all change order requests and submit in conjunction with estimating and finance
  • Responsible to ensure project close out package is completed, and job can be billed in full
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager in the construction and/or environmental remediation fields
  • Experience managing federal government contracts preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Must be able to pass a federal government background screen
Certifications
  • OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
