Job summary

Lockheed Martin in San Diego, CA seeks a Training Device Manager to oversee cradle-to-grave management of F-35 training devices, supporting sustainment and field operations across the F-35 variants.

You will collaborate across engineering, logistics, and customer teams to implement modifications, analyze wear, and ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for operations. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive background in Supply or Simulator maintenance with U.S. Navy/USMC/USAF.
• Experience using or maintaining F-35 Training support equipment.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise-Level Information Management systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

What Were Doing

You’ll join a team of Training Device Managers (TDMs) supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35) Training product line across the F-35A, F-35B, and F-35C variants. You’ll provide cradle-to-grave management of Training Device Equipment (TDE), working within the Logistics Field Support team to support sustainment, resolve problems, and ensure training systems remain operational and effective.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing sustainment and field support activities for F-35 training devices.
• Reviewing field support requirements and recommending tools, training equipment, and support solutions that meet safety, performance, and government standards.
• Evaluating and implementing engineering modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Designing or recommending new or modified parts and components.
• Analyzing the reparability of parts and components and identifying solutions to recurring issues.
• Reviewing operating data to determine the causes of wear, malfunctions, and premature component removals.
• Evaluating technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other technical publications.
• Working across engineering, logistics, sustainment, and customer organizations to resolve technical and field issues.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced training or ground support equipment professional who understands the F-35 ecosystem and can effectively manage complex sustainment issues from the field through resolution.

Basic Qualifications

Requires extensive background in Supply or Simulator maintenance industry within the U.S. Navy/USMC,USAF.

Experience using or maintaining F-35 Training support equipment.

Must have a working knowledge of Enterprise-Level Information Management systems.

This position requires the ability to have and maintain a Secret clearance

Additional duties may be assigned as they arise from program needs.

Able to travel to support customer needs.

Desired Skills

• Background in simulator maintenance, troubleshooting or support.
• Experience with post equipment delivery data Management.
• Ability to conduct and participated in Trade Studies.
• Experience in the Foreign Military Sales, NATO service experience, or have worked with a military operation in overseas country/countries.
• Must be able to multitask .
• Must be able to work effectively in stressful environment.
• Ability to collaborate with and integrate multifunctional teams.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
