About the Role

C-Shift Consulting is seeking a skilled Project Management Consultant with an understanding of Change Management to support Finance function transformation initiatives (e.g., organizational re-design). This is a 1099 full-time contract role, remote with candidates based in the Denver metro area for occasional in-person collaboration.

You will be joining a growing team of analysts, PM and CM managers to support a complex organizational re-design project – ranging from operating model shifts, organization re-design to process mapping – by applying proven project and change management best practices. We are looking for someone who is thoughtful, organized, people-focused, and outcomes-driven.

Phase 1 is Feasibility for 10 weeks with a potential for phase 2 to design, build and implement as multi-year contract of work.

Phase 1 Scope of Work

Feasibility

• Confirm the problem statement and business rationale with key leaders.
• Confirm the future state vision with key leaders.
• Document a current state inventory of processes, roles, and systems.
• Draft a Finance Feasibility Report for a recommended future state approach.

Responsibilities

• Strong project manager that has lead teams and has engaged with Leadership
• Understands change management and project delivery across initiatives that bridge HR and Finance functions. The understanding of Finance as a Function within an organization is required, a Finance background is not required
• Manages workstream deliverables, ensures timely execution of activities, tracks risks and issues, and supports reporting
• Manages feasibility milestones and executes activities to report completion
• Leads unit implementation stakeholder engagement, communications, and change enablement activities
• Coordinates implementation plans and manages alignment with broader program initiatives
• Develop and manage change strategies, communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and training
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in HR and Finance functions

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in project management with an understanding of change management as part of a re-org or business transformation
• Demonstrated experience in HR and Finance transformation
• Familiarity with Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or similar change management methodologies
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment
