Job summary

NV5 delivers technology-enabled engineering, consulting, and geospatial solutions, seeking an experienced Project Engineer (EIT or eligible) to lead multidisciplinary teams on geotechnical and materials projects in California. You will manage soil/concrete technicians, special inspectors, and lab staff, coordinating with Principals to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering with an emphasis in materials/geotechnical is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, think creatively, and problem-solve.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages special inspectors and technician staff.
• Manages projects (bridges, roadway, schools, and commercial) and associated geotechnical budgets.
• Prepares and reviews inspection and observation reports submitted to various agencies and other clients.
• Oversees the preparation and submission of timely reports and maintenance of records.
• Oversees laboratory qualifications and testing across soils, asphalt, and concrete.
