Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Project Financial Controls Coordinator to support project financial management, reporting, and cost controls across our diverse operating groups in the United States.

You will collaborate with operations, finance, accounting, and technology teams to maintain accurate project data in PFM systems, prepare reports, and help drive continuous improvements in financial controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree required by summer 2027.
• Willingness to relocate frequently for project assignments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project financial management and cost control activities.
• Maintain accurate project financial information within Project Financial Management (PFM) systems.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Assist with administration of project financial controls and cost management processes.
• Help prepare and distribute project financial reports and performance metrics.
• Ensure financial data adheres to Mortenson policies and standards.
• Provide day-to-day support to project teams using PFM systems and tools.
• Escalate issues and support system improvements as needed.
