Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Finance Coordinator to manage expenses, billings, and budgets for assigned projects. The role focuses on cost records, month-end close, forecasting, and collaboration with project managers and the finance team to ensure projects stay within budget.

Candidates should have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles (US GAAP) and proficiency in Excel. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in accounting or finance, preferably project-based
• Understanding of basic accounting principles including US GAAP
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

• Oversee project earnings analysis and provide monthly insights
• Analyze project cost reports and review status with Director of Finance and Project Managers
• Prepare and execute budgets for each project
• Reconcile invoices to clients, vendors, or contractors
• Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system per contract terms
• Maintain an organized accounting system while staying compliant with regulations
• Review contracts including amendments and agreements
• Serve as liaison between Project Managers, Project Accountants, Leadership and accounting team
• Monitor system for payments, purchase orders, invoices, and statements and follow up when needed
• Assist with annual business plan
• Works independently to research and resolve financial issues
• Provide recommendations or commentary as needed
