Job summary

BBVA USA operates a dedicated offshore wind and energy transition advisory team that supports debt advisory, project finance and related M&A opportunities in North America. Based in New York, the role offers high visibility, mentorship to juniors, and cross‑team collaboration across coverage, lending and global markets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in debt advisory, strong financial modelling, and licenses (FINRA SIE, Series 79, Series 63). English fluency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in debt advisory (project finance or acquisition finance) or combined lending + advisory role; solid deals list.
• MBA or specialised finance degree is desirable.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; Spanish a plus but not prerequisite.
• Licensing: FINRA SIE, Series 79 and Series 63, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Origination assistance including market research and deal pipeline tracking.
• Maintain and strengthen client and lender relationships; support marketing and pitches.
• Coordinate with internal teams to identify opportunities and support execution of transactions.
• Participate in end‑to‑end execution, including deal materials, financial models and negotiations.
