Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced leader to manage large project teams and multiple projects from the Virginia region. You will act as the primary contact for project teams, ensuring delivery, performance, and client satisfaction.

The role demands strong engineering knowledge, hands-on leadership, and excellent communication with clients and contractors. A long track record in design and systems engineering is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience, including minimum 5 years’ people management experience.
• Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and all design engineering aspects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors.
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead a large team.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Strong computer skills including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

Pay

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Virginia this ranges from $165,549.00-$202,826.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
