Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Division Leader for a nationwide General Contractor in Southern California. The role oversees projects from start to finish, directs project admin staff and engineers, and partners with superintendents to set priorities, fostering growth and quality.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction PM or as a project executive, leads teams of 15-20, understands trades, and reviews all construction documents.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or as a project executive.
  • Experience leading teams of 15-20 people.
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades and construction processes.
  • Proficient in reviewing all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
  • Ability to develop business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish.
  • Directs and supervises project administration staff and construction engineers, and collaborates with superintendents to set priorities.
  • Forecasting and tracking project costs/revenue and ensuring adherence to estimates.
  • Resolve problems involving labor, materials, equipment and contracts/subcontracts.
  • Assist with pre-qualification for bidders and responses to RFPs/RFQs; assist owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method.
  • Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
  • Develop relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Maintain documentation such as RFI logs and change orders.

Description
  • Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish
  • Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
  • Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
  • Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
  • Assist with pre‑qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method
  • Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
  • Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
  • Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders
Profile
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or recent experience as a project executive
  • Experience leading teams of 15-20 people preferably
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
  • Have experience in multiple fields of construction
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details
  • Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
