Michael Page is seeking a senior Construction Project Manager to lead a division for a reputable nationwide General Contractor in Southern California. You will oversee projects from start to finish, guide project teams of 15-20 professionals, and drive delivery with a focus on safety, quality, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Construction Project Management or recent experience as a project executive.
• Experience leading teams of 15-20 people.
• Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents, including specifications and drawings.
• Strong business development abilities to bring opportunities to the team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish.
• Directs and supervises project administration staff and engineers, aligning with superintendents to set priorities.
• Forecast and track project costs and ensure adherence to estimates.
• Resolve labor, material, equipment, and contract/subcontract issues.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals on every project.
• Develop relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers.
• Maintain documentation through RFI logs and change orders.

Description

• Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish
• Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
• Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
• Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
• Assist with pre-qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method
• Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
• Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
• Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders

Profile

• 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or recent experience as a project executive
• Experience leading teams of 15-20 people preferrably
• Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
• Have experience in multiple fields of construction
• Working knowledge of construction technology and details
• Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
