Job summary

Alonso’s Construction in the Denver area is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our drywall and metal framing team. You will independently prepare detailed takeoffs and competitive bids across Colorado projects, from start to finish.

You will review plans, specs, and addenda, coordinate with suppliers, and update estimates as plans evolve. Travel is occasional within Colorado and pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial estimating is required.
• Strong drywall and metal framing estimating experience.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plans.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with BuildingConnected, Procore, and Autodesk.
• Must be comfortable estimating projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Complete accurate labor and material takeoffs.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids.
• Estimate drywall, metal framing, ACT ceilings, insulation, demolition, exterior sheathing, and shaft wall systems.
• Request and review supplier pricing.
• Prepare RFIs and review project clarifications.
• Review revised drawings and identifying changes.
• Update takeoffs and pricing when plans change.
• Prepare change order pricing.
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and project teams.
• Follow up on submitted bids.
• Attend occasional job walks and pre-bid meetings.

Alonso’s Construction is hiring a Commercial Construction Estimator.

We are a commercial drywall and metal framing subcontractor with 17 years of experience serving projects throughout Colorado. Our scopes also include ACT/acoustical ceilings, insulation, demolition, exterior sheathing, and shaft wall systems.

We are looking for an experienced estimator who can work independently, manage multiple bids, and produce accurate, detailed estimates from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing commercial plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
• Completing accurate labor and material takeoffs
• Preparing and submitting competitive bids
• Estimating drywall, metal framing, ACT ceilings, insulation, demolition, exterior sheathing, and shaft wall systems
• Requesting and reviewing supplier pricing
• Preparing RFIs and reviewing project clarifications
• Reviewing revised drawings and identifying changes
• Updating takeoffs and pricing when plans change
• Preparing change order pricing
• Communicating with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and project teams
• Following up on submitted bids
• Attending occasional job walks and pre-bid meetings

• Occasional travel throughout Colorado, including Denver, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas
• Pay based on experience
