Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete drywall and metal framing estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.

• Manage bids through all project phases, from conceptual design to GMP pricing.

About the Role

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a strong background in drywall and metal framing to support a growing portfolio of commercial construction projects across the Southeast. This position will play a key role in developing accurate estimates, performing detailed takeoffs, and managing bids from schematic design through final GMP pricing.

Projects include healthcare, education, hospitality, office, and large-scale multi-story developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete drywall and metal framing estimates for commercial construction projects
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
• Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Manage bids through all project phases, from conceptual design to GMP pricing
• Utilize BuzzBid, QuickBid, OST, or similar estimating software to build and maintain estimates
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams on complex pursuits and strategic bids
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Support projects ranging from $500K to complex Division 9 pursuits exceeding $10M

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial drywall and metal framing estimating experience
• Experience producing full-scope estimates independently
• Proven success estimating projects valued between $10M and $50M+
• Strong quantity takeoff and bid management skills
• Proficiency with BuzzBid, QuickBid, OST (On-Screen Takeoff), or similar estimating platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage bids with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous field experience in drywall, framing, or commercial construction
• Experience with GMP pricing, negotiated work, and design-assist projects
• Experience estimating healthcare, education, hospitality, or office projects
• Experience supporting multi-story or high-rise construction projects
