Job summary

Fluid Control Specialties, LLC is seeking a Project Estimator / Engineering Assistant to support sales and engineering teams by preparing project quotes, coordinating documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks related to customer orders.

You will work closely with customers, vendors, sales representatives and engineers to gather information, price components, track submittals, and ensure quotes move smoothly from initial quotation through order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in cost estimation or similar role within construction/engineering.
• Experience with heavy civil or water/wastewater projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and math skills.
• Familiarity with estimation software.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry cost factors, materials, labor rates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project quotations from material lists and specs.
• Gather pricing and lead time information from vendors.
• Coordinate project documentation and submittals.
• Track submittal status and communicate updates.
• Provide drawings and specs to engineers.
