Job summary

Peak Water Services is seeking a motivated Estimator to support water and wastewater projects. You will collaborate with project managers, technicians, contractors, and customers to ensure work is on time, within budget, and of high quality.

The role requires strong technical and organizational skills, with experience in estimation and project management. Knowledge of water treatment processes and regulatory standards is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimation and/or project management.
• Engineering backgrounds such as civil or mechanical engineering are a plus.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment processes, electrical controls, and pumps is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and cost estimation: Oversee procurement processes, obtain equipment quotes, and assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for public and private projects.
• Project Coordination: Define project requirements, scope, and goals; liaise between teams, owners, engineers, and municipalities.
• Project Management Support: Monitor progress, address issues, and help remove roadblocks to maintain timelines.
• Technical Writing and Documentation: Prepare and maintain design reports, flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
• System Specifications: Assist in development of system specifications and designs.
• Administrative Support: Track working hours, plans, and expenses, and assist in PM tasks.

• Administrative Support: Track working hours, plans, and expenses, and assist in administrative tasks to support the project management team.

Qualifications

• Strong preference for applicants with previous experience for a manufacturer or supplier of pumping or other fluid handling/treatment systems
• Experience in estimation and/or project management
• Engineering backgrounds such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, civil construction would be a plus
• Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment, electrical controls, pumps, estimating, and/or sales would also be of preference
