Job summary

Peak Water Services is seeking an Estimator to support water and wastewater projects. You will collaborate with project managers, technicians, contractors, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality results.

The role emphasizes strong technical writing, documentation, and regulatory adherence, with opportunities to influence system designs and procurement decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with estimating and/or project management.
  • Familiarity with pumping or fluid handling systems a plus.
  • Engineering background in civil or mechanical fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement and cost estimation for public and private projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to define scope and goals.
  • Support project management: monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and maintain design reports, schedules, and action plans.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and develop system specifications.
  • Provide administrative support: track hours, plans and expenses.
  • Liaise between teams, owners, engineers and municipalities.

Peak Water Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to support the successful design, planning, and execution of water and wastewater projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, service technicians, contractors, and customers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of industry regulations. Effective communication with diverse stakeholders and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key to excelling in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Cost Estimation: Oversee procurement processes, obtain equipment quotes, and assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for public and private projects.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to define project requirements, scope, and goals. Act as a liaison between teams, owners, engineers, and municipalities to ensure efficient communication and execution.
  • Project Management Support: Monitor project progress, address issues, and assist in removing roadblocks to maintain timelines and quality standards.
  • Technical Writing and Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
  • System Specifications: Assist in the development of system specifications and designs.
  • Administrative Support: Track working hours, plans, and expenses, and assist in administrative tasks to support the project management team.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with a manufacturer or supplier of pumping or other fluid handling/treatment systems
  • Experience in estimation and/or project management
  • Engineering backgrounds such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, civil construction would be a plus
  • Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment, electrical controls, pumps, estimating, and/or sales would also be of preference
