Job description

Our client, a growing Electrical Contractor located in Durham, NC, has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Estimator Electrical.

Qualifications Include:

• At least 2 years of field electrical experience in either multi-family or commercial construction
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
• Previous experience with estimating software would be a plus
• Ability to read plans and documents
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
• Ability to communicate proficiently and in a timely manner with customers and vendors

Responsibilities include the following:

• All aspects of electrical estimating including composing BOMs, performing takeoffs, inputting takeoff data, submitting RFIs, and writing proposals
• Build the estimate from start to finish ensuring that all aspects of the plans and specs. are covered in our bid
• Assist the senior estimator to Coordinate and streamline the bid process on each individual project
• Assist with contract negotiations and review
• Review estimate with salesman and project managers once contract is awarded
• Assist in creating budgets and schedule of values once project is awarded
