Job summary

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, is seeking a Project Estimator to join the engineering team onsite at our Fibrebond manufacturing campus in Minden, LA. You will develop material, labor, and subcontract estimates to enable competitive quoting and accurate cost accounting.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and blueprints, obtaining vendor data, and collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to finalize estimates.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and detailed specifications to determine material and labor needs.
• Three years of project estimation/pricing experience, or an associate degree with one year in estimation.
• Proficiency with cost data sources, vendor quotes, and budgeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for material, labor, and subcontractors for projects.
• Review specifications, blueprints, and BOMs to calculate production costs.
• Obtain cost data from vendors and subcontractors and discuss estimates with customers.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and bill of materials teams to exchange technical information.
• Maintain traceable estimate records and support RFQ pricing analyses.
• Analyze RFQ pricing to identify profitability trends and cost drivers.
