Job summary

Foundation Personnel Inc. seeks an experienced Estimator with a background in US Power T&D construction to support pricing and bidding of transmission, distribution and substation projects.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates, reviewing drawings and bid documents, completing take-offs, and developing accurate project costs. The role collaborates with PMs, engineers and operations throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating within US Power Transmission, Distribution and/or Substation construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Experience with bid preparation and project take-offs.
• Proficient with estimating software such as HCSS, HeavyBid or Bluebeam.

• Identify project risks, exclusions and potential cost impacts
• Support bid strategy, proposals and client presentations where required

Requirements:

• Experience estimating within US Power Transmission, Distribution and/or Substation construction
• Strong understanding of construction costs, labor, materials and equipment
• Experience with project take-offs and bid preparation
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software such as HCSS, HeavyBid, Bluebeam or similar
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience working for a utility contractor, electrical contractor or Power T&D construction company preferred

Project experience may include:
