Job summary

CrimsonXT is seeking an Estimator to own preconstruction pricing for data center and mission-critical projects across the US. You will build full GC-level estimates, run bids in BuildingConnected, and identify gaps across trades.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as an Estimator in GC or design-build, with hands-on MEP/electrical scope experience and US work authorization. This remote role includes travel and offers a path to Senior Estimator.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience with a General Contractor or design-build firm.
• Data center or mission critical project experience.
• 3+ years as an Estimator (5+ preferred).
• Experience pricing all trades, with a solid grasp of MEP and electrical scope.
• Proficiency with BuildingConnected and takeoff software (Bluebeam, OST or similar).
• Stable career history and ability to run bids end to end with minimal oversight.
• US citizenship or green card. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• This role is not open to candidates based in California or New York.

We're partnering with a design-build engineering and construction firm delivering data center and power generation projects across the US, from ground-up builds to retrofits of live, operational sites. They're hiring an Estimator to own preconstruction pricing across a strong pipeline of mission critical work.

What you'll do:

• Build full GC-level estimates from plans and specs, including General Conditions and General Requirements
• Write subcontractor scope letters, run bids through BuildingConnected, and level sub and supplier quotes
• Identify scope gaps and overlaps across trade packages
• Support business development through bid proposals and contract negotiations
• Help develop the estimating processes, tools, national subcontractor database and historical cost data for a growing precon function

What you must have:

• Estimating experience with a General Contractor or design-build firm (owner's rep and cost consultancy backgrounds will not be considered)
• Data center or mission critical project experience
• 3+ years as an Estimator (5+ preferred)
• Experience pricing all trades, with a solid grasp of MEP and electrical scope
• Proficiency with BuildingConnected and takeoff software (Bluebeam, OST or similar)
• A stable career history and the ability to run bids end to end with minimal oversight
• US citizenship or green card. Visa sponsorship is not available
• This role is not open to candidates based in California or New York
