Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced lead estimator to drive large-scale data center electrical projects across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. You will own estimating for MV distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, and low-voltage systems, using Trimble Accubid as the primary takeoff tool.

You will guide budgets from concept to detailed plans, coordinate pricing with internal teams, present proposals to clients, and mentor junior estimators on data center means and methods,

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating on large-scale data center electrical projects, from hyperscale campuses to phased expansions
• Build detailed estimates for MV distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators and low-voltage systems
• Use Trimble Accubid as your primary tool for takeoff, pricing and database management
• Take budgets from conceptual through to detailed, aligned with fast-track schedules
• Coordinate labor, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing across internal teams
• Present proposals to clients, explaining constructability, sequencing and cost drivers
• Manage vendor and subcontractor engagement, including long-lead equipment
• Mentor estimators on data center means and methods: energized work, phased turnover and critical path sequencing
• Build relationships with OEMs and Subcontractors
