Apex Companies, LLC. in Glastonbury, CT is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental Team. You will collect soil, water, and air samples and help interpret data for regulatory reporting and due diligence.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of environmental field sampling and data collection.
• Safe work practices with strong safety awareness.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Light construction experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ASTM Phase I due diligence projects.
• Assist with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR), Release Base Cleanup Regulations (RBCRs) and Property Transfer Program reports.

• Work directly with staff and management on field and reporting responsibilities.

Our Glastonbury, CT office is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental Team.

What You'll Do

• Collect soil, water, and/or air media utilizing different sampling techniques.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I) projects.
• Assist with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR), Release Base Cleanup Regulations (RBCRs) and Property Transfer Program-based reports including, but not limited to Completion of Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Verifications, Status Reports.
• Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
• Work directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 2+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and familiarity of CTDEEP regulatory reporting.
• The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportationare required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
