Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Team in the Northeast Division. You will collect soil, water, and air samples, analyze data, and assist with due diligence and MCP-based reporting.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related field.
• 3+ years of environmental field sampling, data collection, and report preparation.
• Strong communication skills and safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect soil, water, and/or air samples using various sampling techniques.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data for reports.
• Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) projects.
• Assist with MCP-based reports (IRA, MCP Phases I–V, Permanent Solutions).
• Develop career growth with field and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with staff and management on field and reporting responsibilities.

Our Northeast Division is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental Team.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Environmental Scientist:

• Collect soil, water, and/or air samples utilizing different sampling techniques.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) projects.
• Assist with Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) based reports including, but not limited to, Immediate Response Action (IRA) reports, Comprehensive Response Action reports such as MCP Phase I through Phase V, Permanent Solutions.
• Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
• Work directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.

What we're looking for:

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 3+years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and report preparation.
• The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
