Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Kings Bay, GA and Titusville, FL is seeking a Project Engineering Manager for the FBM Strategic Planning organization. You will lead a team of program analysts and software engineers to develop production master schedules for missile, reentry, and test missile kit requirements.

Responsibilities include establishing program baselines, assessing executability and risk mitigation, and coordinating with Navy partners and LM leadership.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with missile production and sustainment operations.
  • Experience with long-range budget, resource, or procurement planning.
  • Demonstrated team leadership or prior management experience.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance; pass drug/background checks.

This position is for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program, one of Lockheed Martin’s best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability.

This position is for a Project Engineering Manager in the FBM Strategic Planning organization responsible for conducting US and UK fleet analysis to develop production master schedules for missile, reentry, and test missile kit requirements. In this role you will lead a team of program analysts and software engineers located in Kings Bay, GA and Titusville, FL while representing the Program Integration directorate to Navy partners and LM leadership.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to lead our Program Plans and Requirements team. This team is responsible for analyzing a wide array of US and UK fleet requirements to develop long-range production and sustainment plans and schedules. You will establish program baselines, analyze program executability and risk mitigation strategies, and support our partners in assessing alternate baselines for fleet supportability.

The successful candidate will be a full spectrum leader, build lasting partnerships with our Navy counterparts, focus on financial and strategic objectives, and work closely with a range of other leaders on FBM. The candidate will be expected to aid in the hiring process as the team grows. It will be critical to build a team culture focused on meeting program commitments while maintaining requirements discipline.

Basic Qualifications
  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience with missile production and sustainment operations
  • Experience with long-range budget, resource, or procurement planning
  • Demonstrated team leadership or prior management experience
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with FBM processes and products
  • Familiarity with the Strategic Programs Official Schedule Estimate, fleet scheduling, or Strategic Weapons Facility operations
  • Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
  • Classification management or derivative classifier experience
  • Experience with software developement/sustainment, digital transformation, or AI integration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
