Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a highly skilled Systems Engineer, Staff - System Security Engineering (SSE) Integration Portfolio Project Lead, to guide integration activities across FBM Reentry programs. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure security engineering milestones are met.

You will lead basis of estimate development, long-range roadmaps, and monthly status reporting, working with Navy and internal teams to deliver impactful security solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in engineering or related field is required.
  • Experience with earned value management and cost variance reporting preferred.
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and negotiations with Navy.
  • Develop and maintain a long-range roadmap for System Security Engineering across Reentry programs.
  • Lead ETC analysis and variance reporting with CAMs for Reentry SSE.
  • Coordinate with program leadership to plan and execute SSE scope for current and future programs.
  • Collaborate with FBM Cyber and SSE teams to track status and actions.

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer, Staff - System Security Engineering (SSE) Integration Portfolio Project Lead across several programs in the FBM Reentry directorate.

As the SSE Integration Portfolio Project Lead, duties will include:

  • Lead Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, reviews, and fact finding negotiations with the Navy on the FBM Reentry System Security Engineering Team.
  • Lead development and maintenance of a high level long range roadmap with milestones, review dates, and events for System Security Engineering across multiple Reentry programs.
  • Lead Estimate to Complete (ETC) analysis and variance reporting with Cost Account Managers (CAMs) for Reentry System Security Engineering.
  • Work with each program's System Security Engineering Integration lead, finance, and planning team to compile monthly reports for our budget and schedule for the Navy.
  • Coordinate with the FBM Cyber and FBM System Security Engineering teams to track status and actions for System Security Engineering.
  • Coordinate with Reentry and program leadership to identify, plan, to execute System Security Engineering scope for current and future Reentry programs.

The organization is distributed between Littleton, CO, Valley Forge, PA, and Titusville, FL.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with technical program reviews (i.e., System Requirements review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR))
  • Experience with Agile (i.e., Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs), and/or generating proposals
  • Experience with comparing Budget to Actuals
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience integrating with other organizations
  • Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience developing Supplier Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Experience reviewing propose
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and Variance Reporting
  • FBM Program Knowledge and experience working with US Navy
  • Communicating/coordinating program issues/status to customers, contractors and/or upper management.
  • Resolving technical challenges requiring integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet or exceed individual/team deliverable deadlines.
  • Agile Practitioner (Scrum Master, Product Owner/Product Manager, etc.)
  • Requirements definition and tool experience (i.e., Concept of Operations (CONOPs), requirements document, interface requirement drawings/documents, DOORS, etc.)
  • Program management experience such as project planning, scheduling, cost estimates/budgeting, ROI and/or cost avoidance estimation
  • MBSE/SysML experience (i.e., Cameo, MagicDraw)
  • Participation in Structured Improvement Activities (SIA) or similar continuous improvement events
  • As a "change agent" able to facilitate cultural adoption of new processes, tools, and approaches
  • Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
