RTX Corporation invites students to join a full-time co-op from January 2027 through August 2027, onsite at 113 Wells St, North Berwick, ME. You'll work across engineering tasks and collaborate with experienced teams to develop and document project outcomes.

You will manage day-to-day project tasks, prepare clear technical reports, and assist in engineering activities from concept through detailed design, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the co‑op session.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.

What You Will Do

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January 2027 - August 2027 (including the Spring and Summer semesters; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
• Manage day‑to‑day project tasks by tracking progress, organizing priorities, and supporting timely execution of engineering activities.
• Develop clear, well‑structured technical reports that document findings, summarize analyses, and communicate project outcomes to engineering and leadership teams.
• Assist in project execution across all design phases, from conceptual and preliminary design through detailed engineering, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integration of engineering requirements.
• Collaborate and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support technology advancement initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related Engineering field and actively enrolled through the completion of the co‑op session.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience leading teams and coordinating group efforts, demonstrating the ability to guide peers, encourage collaboration, and drive tasks to completion.
• Prior RTX internship, co‑op, or work experience.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.
