RTX's Pratt & Whitney division in East Hartford invites you to join a Spring 2027 Project Engineering Co-op. You will work full-time Monday–Friday, January 2027–May 2027, pairing with experienced engineers to tackle shop and supplier delivery challenges while gaining hands-on mentorship.

You will collaborate with operations, quality, procurement, and engineering SMEs to drive root-cause investigations, implement improvements, and learn to communicate technical issues clearly, building leadership

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree and enrolled through the co-op period.
• Experience in product design, drawing interpretation, or manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams).

What You Will Do

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January 2027 - May 2027 (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
• Support engineering related efforts to meet shop and supplier delivery requirements.
• Partner closely with operations, quality, procurement, and engineering discipline SMEs to drive root cause investigations, develop associated corrective actions, and implement product and process improvements.
• Collaborate with multidiscipline teams to address various production improvement opportunities.
• Track group metrics and look for improvements.
• Coordinate evaluation and response to supplier requests for information electronic Supplier Request for Information (eSRI).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the co-op session
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: product design, drawing definition/ interpretation or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the design and/or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Teamcenter, Unigraphics, Ansys, and classical methods of analysis.
• Experience with hardware, blueprints, and manufacturing methods.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
