Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Project Engineer in the Water Facilities South district to manage the administrative and technical aspects of construction. You will coordinate with the construction manager and lead a team of field and cost engineers to ensure schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.

You will mentor field engineers, manage temporary and permanent design deliverables, and maintain strong client relations while aligning with safety and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in construction or engineering.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong ethics, initiative, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling of the project: create, maintain, and monitor the schedule.
• Revenue, cost, and cash flow management to meet targets.
• Engineering of temporary structures and oversight of design deliverables.
• Permanent design management and quality control for constructability.
• Project closeout including final documentation and approvals.
• Client relations and communications to support project success.
• Operations planning and resource/workflow development.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts; manage changes.
• Training and development of field engineers; mentor staff.
• Monitor progress and productivity to stay on schedule.
