Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Construction team in the Greater Philadelphia Area. We are a long‑established heavy civil contractor with 60+ years of experience, offering a competitive salary and growth opportunities.

The role supports project managers, handles documentation, scheduling, procurement, and reporting on municipal infrastructure projects, with a collaborative team and strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–6 years construction exposure.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Experience with water/wastewater or heavy civil projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing water and wastewater construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
• Track schedules, monitor progress, and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Review drawings, specs, and contracts; support cost tracking and monthly reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel; attend owner/engineer meetings.
• Assist with project closeout including punch lists and as‑builts; ensure safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing water and wastewater construction projects.

• Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and inspectors.
• Assist with project closeout including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and final documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and quality control requirements.
• Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve field issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of construction experience preferred.
• Experience with water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
