Job summary

Herman Weissker, Inc. seeks a proactive Project Engineer to oversee engineering and support the Underground Civil Division on multiple utilities projects in the Southwest region. You will plan personnel, assign work, and ensure alignment with project schedules and contract requirements.

The role emphasizes technical construction support, documentation control, and active participation in client and project-management meetings, with a focus on safety and quality across all activities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage a team of varied disciplines and engineers.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology and codes.
• Experience coordinating project engineering activities with schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with contract requirements and schedules.
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design interpretation.
• Develop and administer project engineering, controls, and document procedures.
• Represent the Company in meetings with clients, AE, and project management.
• Collaborate with field oversight to resolve conflicts and ensure quality.
• Promote and uphold safety requirements within the project team.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.
